Eddie Tennyson

Eddie Tennyson does not confess to writing “real” songs–they’re “just stuff he makes up.”  This San Diego-born singer-songwriter tells stories with a voice and acerbic wit not far from John Denver and just a stone’s throw away from Todd Snider.  As a child, Eddie fell in love with the West while traveling with his folks from the orange groves of California to the wheat fields of Kansas to help with the family harvest. He later spent many years traveling the back-roads gathering experiences to put into his songs, his wanderlust finally finding a home in the red dirt of the Canyonlands. This landlocked Jimmy Buffett still hits the road regularly in search of new adventures. His songs tell of outlaws and open spaces, lost landscapes and human foibles in an irreverent, tongue-in-cheek kind of way. Provocative yet fun, his songs make you think and go reptilian at the same time.
