Laura Heisig

Laura Heisig is a 24-year-old photographer Jill-of-all-trades. While she was born (and her heart lies) in New Orleans she spent twenty years of her life in Rochester, New York.  Heisig is currently an AmeriCorps NCCC member and she documents the volunteer work of her team as they travel around the country.  As a Senior in high school she fell in love with film developing techniques.  Later in life she was formally trained in studio photography using a Canon 40D.  Her current weapon of choice is a Nikon D90. She enjoys experimenting with natural light photography and photographing nature and landscapes. Heisig spent 3-weeks in Green River, Utah during the brutal winter of 2009, and prints from her time here will be displayed at Project Green River.
