Josh Kenning + The Speed Loaders

A Denver native, Josh Kenning has been playing for over 10 years.  He cut his teeth at local jams while living in Kansas City, then moved to Boston where he played in a number of bands including The Bad Habits.  He’s entertained audiences from coast to coast, and shared stages with the likes of Peaches, Lester “The Wizard” King, Clarence “Bluesman” Turner, and Black Betty.  His aggressive, rhythmic style is reminiscent of the early blues shouters, and has started to garner attention in the Colorado region.  His backing band, The SpeedLoaders, is made up of Jeri Austin on bass, Keith Gerry on drums, and Jake Garduno on harmonica.  The Montrose Daily Press recently described the group as “masters…in the vein of Muddy Waters and Howlin’ Wolf.”  Together, the band plays all over the Colorado region, and will be opening for Walter Trout in June.
